Regional Art Show Comes to Downtown at the Gardens

JUPITER, Fla. (PRWEB) October 13, 2012

Art in the Gardens returns to Downtown at the Gardens Oct. 13 and 14, featuring more than 70 artists who will show off their colorful, creative work in the open outdoor courtyard.

The two-day art exhibit is sponsored by Jupiter Medical Center and PNC Bank and is free and open to the public. Parking also is free, and there is plenty of it. Other activities that will accompany the exhibit are live music, childrens activities and great food from Downtown at the Gardens varied restaurants.

The artists primarily are from Florida and the southeastern United States, and all of them either have shown or will be showing their work at the ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival, a premier art event that takes place every February amid the Abacoa homes in Jupiter.

We used to bill it as a local artist preview to ArtiGras, but the event really has grown into its own stand-alone event, said ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival spokeswoman Rebecca Seelig, of Palm Beach Public Relations. I think it is going to be an amazing weekend weather-wise, so what better thing to do than go stroll art.

Art in the Gardens seventh installment will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Many of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities clients are regular attendees at the ArtiGras Fine Art Festival and will be checking out the show this weekend to admire the paintings, pottery and sculptures, for which the artists are famous.

Downtown at the Gardens is one of the most-visited destinations in Palm Beach County, mostly by those who own homes in Palm Beach Gardens. The sprawling shopping center features a stage, a park, a lake trail and is adjacent to the Landmark development, which offers Palm Beach Gardens condos for sale.

It also features Whole Foods Market, a 16-screen Cobb Theatres and dozens of retailers that appeal to all ages and genders.

Art in the Gardens is produced by the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, the producer of the ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival. The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on the development and retention of local businesses, as well as improving the quality of life for residents in Singer Island, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Tequesta.
